Our Green Awards, plaques and desk pieces are made from Lyptus Wood and Bamboo plywood that are rapidly renewable, sustainable resources. Lyptus Wood is the name of wood grown from a hybrid of two species of the Eucalyptus tree. It is developed for quick harvesting on privately maintained plantations in South America that utilize modern forestry techniques to maximize yield. Lyptus has properties similar to many other hardwoods and is most often compared to maple. Bamboo is gorwn in China and is harvested by hand, not machines, to have a minimual impact on the ecology and a positive impact on local economy.
Lyptus and Bamboo awards are not only ecologically sound and environmentally friendly, they also provide a safer, smarter alternative. |
