Many of the new Prism Elite crystal awards are hand made using the Pate de Verre process. Pate de Verre as a material is a 24 percent lead crystal paste made from specially formulated batches of granular crystal. The creation of these awards is done through the "lost wax" technique. A complex and time consuming process. The results are true works of art, possessing a unique translucency, texture and substance which cannot be achieved with blown or molded glass. Bas-relief and incredible detail that is combined with pure geometric Optic Crystal for a unique collection.
